Governor Sisolak Signs Bill On Mail Ballot Delivery To Future Voters

Nevada voters

Nevada’s Governor Steve Sisolak has signed a bill into law that would require automatic mail-in ballot delivery to active voters for future elections. This new law would indefinitely extend the policies that Sisolak approved in the midst of the 2020 pandemic.

He signed it at a recent Las Vegas ceremony with Nevada State Assembly member Jason Frierson. For your information, Frierson is a Democratic Party member who pushed to make this change.

It also looks to make the state’s electoral roll maintenance better, alongside its signature verification processes. The law makes it necessary for vote counters to complete a course on the verification of forensic signatures. It would also make election officials compare their registered voter list to the State Registrar of Vital Statistics each month to remove dead individuals from electoral rolls.
