Las Vegas Mayor Pitches The City For GOP Convention In 2024

Chairperson of Nevada’s GOP Party Michael McDonald and Mayor of Las Vegas Carolyn Goodman recommend the city as the venue for the 2024 Republican National Convention. When responding to a recent inquiry, Mayor Goodman told the RNC (Republican National Committee) that the best location for the 2024 event would be Las Vegas. McDonald followed suit with a supporting statement, describing the convention as a big opportunity for Nevada and Las Vegas to reintroduce business to the world’s convention capital. According to the recent statement, the event would offer a boost to the economy of Las Vegas.

The Committee is yet to reply to an e-mail that inquired about the number of cities that were asked to bid for the convention, slated for before the 2024 US Presidential Election.

Carolyn succeeded her spouse Oscar Goodman following his three terms as the mayor of the US city. She is a part of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Southern Nevada’s tourism marketing organization, and in her final term in this position. Goodman stated that the Committee is expected to make official bids for this convention by December 01, 2021. She was speaking at the opening ceremony of Downtown Grand’s expanded Gallery Tower.
