Nevada Native Gains Probation For His Two Votes In 2016 US Election

Man pleads guilty yo voter fraud 2016 Election

Nevada resident Craig Frank pleaded guilty to an uncommon felony accusation of voting two times in one election. The incident happened in the US Presidential Election of 2016, where Donald Trump won. Earlier in 2021, the Judge of Clark County’s District Court, Bita Yeager, sentenced Frank to two-year probation for the admission of responsibility from the Nevadan.

Frank’s lawyer Thomas Boley described the sentence as an appropriate and fair way of resolving the case. The 53-year-old man from Nevada avoided trial as he pleaded guilty to casting two votes in the aforesaid election. Frank acknowledged voting once each in Arkansas’s Benton City and Las Vegas.

There is a plea agreement with stipulated terms to follow for Frank. Judge Yeager stated that Frank could have a 12- to 30-month-long imprisonment should he violate the agreement terms. However, in the event of Frank completing probation, then he could have a reduced charge of conspiring to vote multiple times in one election.

The 2019 indictment of Frank followed the Nevada Department of Public Safety’s investigation. Nevada’s Attorney General (AG) Aaron Ford stated that while it is uncommon, voter fraud undermines trust in the electoral system and that his office would not tolerate it.
