Nevada’s Legislators Respond To Terrorism In Afghanistan

Nevada citizens military members die in terrorist attack Afghanistan

Nevada’s legislators responded to the acts of terrorism in Kabul that killed not just a dozen American service members but also many Afghans. A US Navy medic and eleven American Marines were part of the dead. When US evacuation efforts came after the failure of the Afghanistan administration and the last date for American troops to leave the nation, at least sixty natives also died.

Senator Catherine Marie Cortez Masto’s office is keeping an eye on the situation as it prioritizes safeguarding Afghan allies of the US and repatriating Americans. Masto tweeted that she feels for the courageous service personnel who work all day and all night to not only facilitate evacuations but also protect national security.

Representative Dina Titus’s office is trying to process numerous requests to speed up evacuations of people from Afghanistan. Titus also used Twitter to sympathize with the courageous Marine officers who got injured and killed in Kabul when on the line closest to Taliban members. Titus also tweeted that she is not only monitoring this situation but also getting updates from the US Department of State and the Department of Defense.

Through Twitter, Senator Jacky Rosen also offered her condolences to the family members of those Afghans and US service members as well as prayed for the injured people’s safety. At the same time, Rosen stated that she would keep supporting the US’s evacuation efforts for not only Afghan allies but also other Americans.

Representative Susie Lee, too, tweeted that she prayed for every person’s safety in the City of Kabul. In the same tweet, the representative recommended doing everything possible to evacuate every American and Afghan ally from there.

Nevada’s Governor Steve Sisolak stated that natives are grieving for the deaths in Afghanistan. Kathy and Steve Sisolak prayed for the recuperation of those wounded as well as the safe status of American troops and civilians in Afghanistan.
