Senator Laxalt Campaigns For Governor In Henderson With Cruz

Texas GOP Senator Ted Cruz and gubernatorial hopeful Adam Laxalt criticized senator Catherine Cortez Masto during a recent campaign event at the Sun City Anthem Center Grand Ballroom. Cruz stated that Nevada is in a leading position in the fight to take the nation back. Around 140 people attended the event as audience members in Henderson city. Addressing the audience, Cruz said that he was there as he was supporting his friend, Republican candidate Laxalt.

For your information, Laxalt characterizes his gubernatorial bid to usurp Masto as a bid to change the evenly divided Senate to GOP. Laxalt highlighted the support of Donald Trump for him and Cruz.

Laxalt worked as joint-chairman of the 2020 presidential election campaign of Trump in Nevada. He also led unsuccessful challenges to the victory of Joe Biden in the so-called battleground state.

Laxalt associated Masto with the price of gasoline, a campaign issue in the lead up to the Republican primary this June. At the same time, Cruz not only derided President Biden but also associated the price with his administrational policies and campaign promises.

Cruz stated that the price of gasoline is hurting Nevadans and people elsewhere in the nation.

Olivia Davis of Nevada Democratic Victory recently associated the work of Laxalt with a DC law company representing an oil firm that reaps profits from exorbitant prices. Davis stated that while the people of Nevada pay gas rates, Laxalt has attempted to blame everybody except for his DC law company’s oil clientele for rising rates.

In the rally, Laxalt did not mention Sam Brown, his primary gubernatorial opponent as well as an Army veteran and a businessman from Reno.

Cruz and Laxalt also visited northern Nevada, in which the latter criticized the stance of Masto on border security and COVID-19 policies. Both were in Nevada’s attorney general position. Laxalt has also chosen law enforcement as his gubernatorial campaign theme.

Sigalle Reshef, Masto’s campaign aide, said that she has collaborated with GOP members to deliver border security financing worth billions of US dollars. Reshef added that Masto led senatorial efforts to support the law enforcement system of Nevada.

There is no challenger to Masto in the Republican primary, and she has more campaign funding to spend as compared to the GOP hopefuls.

Laxalt said that Nevadans could expect a Masto TV advertising blitz and that the media is unreliable. Laxalt also directed his campaign supporters to his online site instead.
